About Us
Our Founder & CEO
Dayana Roman is the founder of NovaMoon Strategies™, an organization dedicated to helping individuals, families, schools, and organizations grow, heal, and thrive. With over 20 years of experience as a bilingual, trauma-informed behavioral health professional, she brings together clinical knowledge, systems-level thinking, and a deep commitment to empowering people and communities.
Her professional background spans counseling, crisis intervention, program development, and leadership training across diverse populations and settings. Dayana specializes in translating complex behavioral, emotional, and leadership frameworks into practical, real-world strategies that individuals, teams, and systems can apply every day. Whether supporting schools in implementing trauma-informed practices, equipping leaders with emotional intelligence and resilience skills, or guiding families toward stronger connection and stability, her focus remains the same: creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
Her work is grounded in formal education, specialized training, and over two decades of hands-on experience across behavioral health, education, and leadership settings. At the core of her approach is a multidisciplinary model that blends evidence-based practice with compassion, creativity, and cultural responsiveness. She believes sustainable transformation happens when strategies are not only informed by research, but also grounded in humanity and lived experience.
Beyond her professional role, Dayana is also a mother of three, which keeps her deeply connected to the realities of family life, balance, and growth. Her home is full of energy and love, shared with her two huskies, Rocky and Alfie. She finds joy in spending time outdoors, writing poetry, dancing, cooking, and being present with her family. These personal passions continually remind her that healing, leadership, and growth are not abstract concepts, they are lived experiences.
At NovaMoon Strategies™, Dayana’s role is to walk alongside clients, whether individuals, schools, or organizations, offering guidance, structure, and tools that support long-term resilience, positive behavior change, and sustainable success.
